iPhone Air Beats Case Review (Lime Stone)

As soon as I laid eyes on the iPhone Air Beats case in the Lime Stone color at the Apple Store, I knew I had to buy it for my Gold iPhone Air. The color seems to complement the Gold iPhone like no other. I have been using this case for a couple of days, and here’s my review.
Unboxing and first impressions
Like all Apple products, the Beats iPhone Air case comes in a cardboard box. You tear the pull tab and slide the case out.

The inside of the case has a microfiber lining to prevent micro scratches on your iPhone. The rails offer no such protection; however, I am not worried about it as the iPhone Air uses Titanium for its frame, which doesn’t scratch easily.

Putting the case on my iPhone Air for the first time, I can tell that I made the right decision. The Lime Stone color goes really well with the Gold iPhone Air. The two colors complement each other really well, and I love the look. The case is made of hard polycarbonate material and features an almost satin finish, which makes it feel premium, albeit a little slippery.

The buttons are made of plastic. I would have preferred metal buttons, but they are tactile enough, so it’s not a deal breaker. The Camera Control button works perfectly. Despite being so thin, it registers my touches and swipes without issues. I mostly use this button to launch the camera, but it’s good to know that other functions also seem to work flawlessly.

The front lip of the case and the visor around the camera plateau give ample protection to the glass and camera lens. That said, I would still recommend installing a screen protector on the front display as the damage repair is quite costly.

The bottom of the case has a cutout around the charging port, which leaves a portion of the Titanium exposed. I’m not concerned about scratches on Titanium, but if you are, you may want to consider a case that offers full coverage.

The case is MagSafe compatible. I tested the magnetic strength with a MagSafe ring holder, and the connection felt solid. The phone will not slip out of a magnetic mount.
Beats iPhone Air case scratch test and final thoughts
It’s been a couple of days since I unboxed and started using the Beats case for iPhone Air, and I am happy. It’s too early to comment on the durability, but it does seem solid. The case didn’t acquire any scratches when I accidentally dropped my phone.
I even tried scratching it with keys, but a quick wipe removed any blemishes. I am quite happy with the Beats iPhone Air case.
It’s slim, lightweight, and provides good protection without adding too much bulk to the iPhone Air. If you also purchased the Gold iPhone Air, I highly recommend you buy the Lime Stone color.
That’s my review of the Beats Lime Stone case for iPhone Air. If you have any questions about the case, drop them in the comments, and I will be happy to answer them.
