Ever lost an amazing reel on Instagram and couldn’t find it again? You’re not alone! In this article, I’ll show you how to see your Instagram watch history.
Let’s say you are watching a Reel on Instagram and want to save it for later. However, you accidentally refreshed the page or forgot to share it, and now it’s gone forever.
Since Instagram’s search button might as well be a decorative icon when it comes to finding that one Reel you loved, it’s a real pain.
Thankfully, in its latest update, Instagram has resolved this issue by finally adding a Watch History section. Here’s how to see watch history on Instagram.

Before we begin, ensure the app is up to date to access this feature.
1. Launch the Instagram app on your iPhone and tap the profile icon in the bottom-right corner.
2. Tap the hamburger menu in the top-right corner and open the Your activity section.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap to open the Watch history.
Here, you will see a list of all the Reels you have watched on Instagram, organized from newest to oldest. Instagram also offers a couple of filtering options to help you find the Reel quickly.
4. You can use the sorting button to change the sorting order from oldest to newest.
5. There’s an All Dates filter that you can use to restrict the history to the past week, past month, or a custom date range.
6. Finally, you can even filter your watch history by creator name.
7. If there’s a Reel you want to remove from your watch history, tap the Select button in the top-right corner, tap to select the Reel or Reels you want to delete, and tap the Remove button at the bottom to remove the selected Reels from your Watch history.
