Best screen protectors for 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro
In this section, I will mention the best cases and screen protectors that you can use to protect your MacBook Pro. I have mentioned one affordable and one privacy-focused screen protector here. If you want to see other options, head over to our list of best MacBook Pro screen protectors.
1. Supershieldz for Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch
If you are looking for a budget screen protector option, check out the Supershieldz screen protector for the Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch. At $10.99, this is one of the cheapest screen protectors that you can buy. Oh, and it comes in a pack of 3, so you the price of one screen protector comes out to only about $3.66.

The screen protector uses anti-glare film material that reduces the glare and fingerprints on the display panel. While the anti-glare effect is not as good, it is significant. It can handle scratches and scuffs emerging from daily usage of the laptop and doesn’t leave any residue when you remove it.

2. Kensington Magnetic Privacy Screen for MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch
If you you are a private person and don’t want people to read what’s on your Mac’s screen when you are our working in a cafe or restaurant, you should install a privacy screen protector on your device. The Kensington screen protector magnetically attaches to the display using magnets that are already built in to the MacBook's frame. That means you can remove it easily, and only use it when you are outside and need its protection. The screen protector enhances privacy by blacking out your screen when viewing from the side, and ensuring that only you can view it.

The company claims that the view from the front is crystal clear, but that’s not what I felt. I can see some reduction in quality, but that’s the price you will have to pay for privacy. Other features of the screen protector include an anti-glare coating that reduces the glare on the screen and a blue-light filter that protects your eyes.

The first case on our list comes from a company called ProCase which has made its name by producing cheap yet quality cases for iPhones and MacBooks. It’s an ultra-slim case that doesn’t adds noticeable bulk to the device and protects the MacBook body against scratches, scuffs, and daily wear and tear. You cannot expect this case to handle heavy impacts or drops, so only buy this one if you are looking for a slim and light case, which can keep your MacBook Pro’s body in pristine condition by preventing scratches and daily wear.

Best display monitors for MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch
It’s hard to compete with the display on the new MacBook Pros. The mini LED ProMotion display is one of the best in business and shines when viewing HDR content. Such is the quality of this display that most external displays will fail to give you the same experience. You can go for the Apple Studio Display or the Pro Display XDR, but they cost a shit ton of money and not everyone has that kind of money left after already investing in a pricey laptop. Here are some of the best external monitors that you can buy for 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro without breaking the bank.
6. LG 24MD4KL-B UltraFine
The LG 24MD4KL-B UltraFine brings 24-inch UHD (3840 x 2160) Nano IPS Display with 500 nits of peak brightness. It also supports P3 Wide Color Gamut, which means it perfect for creatives who work with photos and videos.

You can use a single USB-C cable to connect your MacBook Pro to the display. The display in total has 5 USB-C ports (2 of which support Thunderbolt 3), allowing you to use it as a hub. The ports here, combined with the ports on the MacBook Pro are more than enough to meet all your port requirements.
7. Dell UltraSharp U2720Q
While the LG display is excellent, its chunky bezels and plastic build give it an outdated look. If you want a more modern looking display with thinner bezels, I recommend the 8. Dell UltraSharp U2720Q. It’s a 27-inch 4K (3840 x 2160) monitor, so you are also getting a bigger screen as compared to the LG display.

The display support tilt, swivel, and pivot and is VESA mount compatible, giving you a wide range of viewing options. It covers 99% sRGB color gamut, so you will get accurate colors. You also get more connectivity options as the monitor supports USB-C, DisplayPort, and HDMI connections.
8. ASUS ProArt PA278CV display
If you can do without a 4K display and live with a 2K resolution (which is plenty sharp even for the most discerning eyes), you should buy the ASUS ProArt PA278CV display. It’s a 27-inch monitor with a WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution. My favorite thing about this monitor is the quality of the display panel. It covers 100% sRGB and 100% Rec. 709 wide color gamut, making it one of the most color-accurate monitors in the market.

You can connect your MacBook Pro with a single cable using the USB-C port, which will also power the device with 65W power delivery. Other ports include DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB 3.1 hub. I also love that it supports 75Hz refresh rate and Adaptive-Sync technology (48-75Hz) that delivers smoother animations.
Thanks to its versatile hinge, you can adjust the monitor’s height, swivel, tilt, and even pivot to use it in portrait mode.
Best Keyboards for 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro
9. Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID
Apple Magic Keyboard has long been my favorite external keyboard, and I recommend them to everyone. If you are looking for a keyboard for your MacBook Pro, this is the first one you should consider. The keyboard is robust, offers long battery life, and is a delight to type on. I also love that now you can get the keyboard with an integrated Touch ID, so you will be able to unlock your MacBook Pro without typing the password, even if you are using it in clamshell mode. You can get this keyboard with or without a number pad.

10. Logitech MX Keys and MX Keys mini
If both the Apple Magic keyboard is not your jam, you should buy the Logitech MX Keys keyboard. It’s a sleek full-size keyboard with an industrial design. The keys are spherically dished, making them both comfortable to type on and durable. If you don’t want the full-size keyboard, you can get the MX Keys mini which comes without number pad.

It has a long 10-day battery life, and if you use it without a backlight, it can last up to 5 months. It charges via USB-C and can connect to multiple devices simultaneously. I think this is the best non-mechanical wireless keyboard that you can buy for your MacBook Pro.

Buy from Amazon: for MX Keys mini) / for full-size MX Keys
11. NuPhy Air75 / Keychron K3
I have always recommended Keychron mechanical keyboards as the company has made some solid mechanical keyboards for Mac users in the past and had no good competition. Well, things have changed now as there is a strong competitor in the market.

The NuPhy Air75 is an excellent low-profile keyboard that gives a great typing experience and looks beautiful. You can choose between different Gateron switches depending on the amount of thump you want from your keyboard. That said, the NuPhy Air75 is a bit pricey, and the Keychron K3 still remains a solid choice at almost $40 cheaper.

Wireless Mouse for MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch
After the keyboard, the next thing in line that you need to buy is a mouse. Again, we have a great selection of mice that are the perfect accessories for your MacBook Pro.
12. Magic Mouse 2
Let’s get the obvious choice out of the way. The Magic Mouse 2 is perfect for users who love the built-in macOS gestures. While I hate the awkward charging solution and have been waiting for years for Apple to fix it, I can’t not recommend this mouse. The mouse scrolls perfectly and the gestures work flawlessly. You can swipe between web pages and virtual desktops, scroll through long documents, do so much more.

13. Logitech MX Master 3
If you prefer to click buttons and tactical scroll wheel over the touch surface, Logitech MX Master 3 is the best wireless mouse you can buy for your Mac mini right now. The mouse brings fast and smooth scrolling, precise pointer control, 4000 DPI sensor, and it works on every surface and can last up to 70 days on a single charge.

My favorite thing about this mouse is its ergonomic construction. I never get tired, no matter how long I use it. I also love that I can customize the buttons for app-specific profiles. Like the Logitech MX Keys, the Logitech MX Master 3 can pair with three devices at once, allowing you to easily switch between them.
In fact, the combination of MX Keys and MX Master 3 is preferred by many Mac users. Yes, the mouse is a bit costly, but it deserves every penny of its price tag.
14. Logitech M720 Wireless Triathlon
If you are looking for something a little more affordable, check out the Logitech M720 Wireless Triathlon mouse. Like the Mx Master, it can pair with three devices, has hyper-fast scroll speed, and brings an ergonomic design. It has extra buttons that you can program for different functions. Note that it is not rechargeable and uses a single AA battery for power. That said, one battery can last you for about 24 months, so you shouldn’t worry about the battery life much.

15. Apple Magic Trackpad 2
If you prefer the trackpad on your MacBook over the external mouse, then maybe you want to invest in the Magic Trackpad 2 from Apple. It has a built-in rechargeable battery and supports all the macOS gestures that you already know. It even supports the force-touch mechanism, allowing you to look at links, check word definitions, and more. What’s more to say, if you love trackpad, buy it.

Best USB-C Hub for the MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch
The new MacBook Pros come with a good selection of ports. You get 3 Thunderbolt USB-C ports, an SD card slot, and an HDMI 2.0 port. However, you are still missing out on USB-A and Ethernet ports. That’s why we recommend investing in a USB-C hub that will give you access to these ports.
16. Satechi Aluminum Multi-Port Adapter V2
The Satechi aluminum multi-port adapter is one of the best USB-C hubs that you can buy. It gives you access to 3 USB-A ports, a gigabit ethernet port, an HDMI port, a micro SD port, and a full-size SD card reader port. With this adapter on your desk, lack of ports won’t be an issue. I also like that it’s compact and you can carry it around in your bag without hassle.

17. Anker USB-C hub
If you are looking for something cheaper, check out this Anker USB-C hub. The adapter gives you access to 2 USB-A ports, 2 USB-C ports, microSD and SD card reader ports, and an HDMI port. You are not getting an ethernet port, so it’s not for you if you want to use a wired connection. But if you use your MacBook Pro connected to WiFi, you can get almost all the ports that the Satechi hub offers for less than half the price.

Best External Storage Solutions for MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch
Upgrading the storage on MacBook Pro doesn’t come cheap. That’s why I went for the 1 TB model and use external SSDs for my additional storage needs. External SSD is also important for creating Time Machine backups, which I recommend everyone should do to keep a copy of their files secure.
18. SanDisk 1TB Extreme Portable SSD
People, including me, recommend the Samsung T7 SSDs, but having used the SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD, I think my loyalties have shifted. The SSD is also more compact, lighter, and durable. Inside, there’s an NVMe solid-state performance-featuring drive that gets up to 1050MB/s read and up to 1000MB/s write speeds.

The reason I prefer this over the Samsung T5 is that with this, you get 2-meter drop protection and IP55 water and dust resistance, features which are missing in the former. If you want a durable and fast SSD, you should buy this one.
19. LaCie Rugged Mini 1TB External Hard Drive
While SSDs have become cheaper over the years, HDDs are still the way to go if you are looking for something affordable. We recommend the LaCie Rugged Mini SSD as it is durable and can handle shocks and drops up to 4 feet. It’s also dust and water-resistant, ensuring that your data will be safe even if you spill some liquid on it.

If you are looking for something even cheaper, check out the WD MyPassport HDD. You get a slim design and a three-year warranty. It also supports 256-bit AES hardware encryption, allowing you to secure your data. You can get this in up to 5TB capacity, which makes it an excellent choice for creating long-term backups.

Best Wireless Headphones and Earphones for MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch
20. AirPods Pro
Apple AirPods Pro is my favorite in-ear noise-canceling wireless earphones. I purchased a pair when they launched, and I am delighted every time I use them. They offer long battery life, excellent audio quality, and the best noise cancellation and transparency mode of all the in-ear earphones in this price range.

And with the new features introduced with iOS updates such as spatial awareness and music sharing, I think it makes the perfect sense to buy them as both your work and travel earphones. They can be a great accessory for your MacBook Pro.
21. Sony WH-1000XM4 / Sony WH-1000XM5
If you prefer over-the-ear headphones, then the Sony WH-1000XM4 and Sony WH-1000XM5 are great options. While the Sony WH-1000XM5 is the latest offering, it doesn’t bring too many new features, and in many cases, is a design downgrade from its predecessor. The Sony WH-1000XM4 is still one of the best noise-canceling headphones on the market, and now you can get it at a discounted price, which makes it an appealing deal. However, if you want the latest and the greatest, you can also opt for the newer Sony WH-1000XM5 model.

22. AirPods Max
While the Sony headphones are great and considerably cheaper, you do miss out Apple specific features like Spatial Audio. If you don’t want any compromise and price is not and issue for you, go for it. You will get all the refinement of Apple’s hardware engineering, along with the software benefits that come with the tight integration of the Apple ecosystem. If there’s anything that I can point to as a problem, it’s the flimsy case, which is of no use.

If you are buying the Max, I suggest that you invest another $99 into the Waterfield AirPods Max Shield Case. Not only it looks premium and offers drop protection, but it also has built-in magnets to activate the ultra-low-power mode. That means you won’t need to use flimsy Apple’s case ever again. You can throw that in the trash, where it belongs.
Best speakers for 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro
23. HomePod mini — stereo pair
I think the new HomePod mini is an excellent accessory for the new MacBook Pros. First of all, it costs only $99, so it’s a good bang for your buck. It also packs a surprisingly good audio punch. Don’t get fooled by its small size. I think most people will be happy with its audio quality. I would suggest that you buy two of them and use them as a stereo pair. This will greatly enhance your movie and music experience. I use them as a stereo pair on my desk, and I love them.

I also like that the speakers are smart and work with Siri. This allows me to use voice commands to play songs, execute Siri shortcuts, control HomeKit devices, and ask for day-to-day information. I also love the handoff feature on the new iPhones, which allows me to transfer songs to HomePod mini by just pointing my phone at it. And since they are wireless, there’s one less cable to clutter your desk.
24. Bose Companion 2 Series III Multimedia Speakers
The MacBook Pros comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, so it makes sense if you want to use a wired speaker system. And for that purpose, I recommend the Bose Companion 2 Series III speakers. They offer excellent audio quality and sound clear even at the highest volume. And since there are two speakers, you get wide stereo separation, something you will enjoy while watching a good movie or playing songs. For this price, I consider them to be the best speaker systems on the market.

Best power banks for 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro
25. Omni 20000mah laptop power bank
Both the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro offer long battery life and can last you the whole day. Since they can also be charged via the USB-C port, you can buy an external power bank to power them on the go, extending the battery life even more. I always take a power bank with me when I travel with my 14-inch MacBook Pro, and I don’t have to search for power outlets everywhere I go.

We recommend the Omni power bank because it supports USB-C power delivery for laptops and has a 70Wh battery capacity, which means it can charge your 14-inch MacBook Pro to almost 100% and the 16-inch MacBook Pro to about 70%, thus almost doubling the battery life.

If you are looking for something more affordable, you can buy the Anker PowerCore III Elite power bank. The power bank has a capacity of 19200mAh capacity and supports 60W power delivery. You also get a bundled 65W power adapter for free.
Bonus accessory for MacBook Pro: Digital Innovations ScreenDr Professional
If you want the best viewing experience, you need to clean your MacBook Pro’s screen regularly, as it accrues smudges and dust. For that purpose, we recommend the ScreenDr Professional cleaning kit, which is free of alcohol and ammonia and safe for use on all kinds of screens. It comes with a cleaning cloth so you won’t have to buy one separately.
