How to Connect GameSir G8 Plus to iPhone

The GameSir G8 Plus is the best gaming controller for iPhone you can buy in 2025. It’s a wireless Bluetooth controller that can accommodate all iPhones and even an iPad mini.

Since the controller offers multiple connectivity modes, including a Nintendo Switch mode, a DualShock mode, and an Android mode, some users find it difficult to connect this to their iPhone.

In this guide, I will show you how to connect your GameSir G8 Plus mobile gamepad to your iPhone.

The primary reason your GameSir G8 Plus controller is not working with your iPhone even after you connect it is because you are using the wrong mode. To connect and use G8 Plus, you have to connect it in Dual Shock mode.

If you already connected your iPhone to G8 Plus and it’s not working, the first step is to delete your GameSir G8 Plus pairing with your iPhone. Skip this step if you are starting fresh.

Go to Settings → Bluetooth and tap the (i) button next to the controller name. Now tap the Forget This Device button to forget it.

To connect GameSir G8 Plus to iPhone, we have initiate pairing in Dual Shock mode.

1. Long-press on the pairing button until the light ring starts flashing.

2. Now hold down the snapshot button and the B button until the light changes to Blue color.

Your controller is in Dual Shock pairing mode. Now, open the Bluetooth settings on your iPhone and tap the DualShock 4 controller to connect it.
